Greetings Everyone,
This will be 2m FM using the local AUARC KR4y repeater on Haley Center during the test for the Auburn Area.
The more hams, the more points Lee County gets!
Respectfully,
Mike

We should be able to find a few more hams, I believe. Our next meeting is next Tuesday (October 7) at 6:00pm on campus, if you'd like to brief us then.
Also, I'm assuming this is all voice communication, as opposed to Morse?
Thanks!

Greetings!
Good news that you have interested hams.
If we have four, then I can add Southwest Volunteer Fire Dept
on Wire Road just a couple of miles off campus too!
Please let me know when I can meet with the volunteers. For the last
two years, the State of Alabama has come in first place NATIONALLY
in the Simulated Emergency. We are pulling out all the stops to make
it three in a row and it all starts with volunteers willing to spend 2-3
hours passing three simple messages to the served agency they are assigned
for a fall afternoon.
Thanks!
73,
Mike

We definitely plan on assisting! I know of at least three members who are interested in helping out with this event.

Greetings Everyone,
Lee County will be holding the annual Simulated Emergency Test on Friday afternoon, October 10th, 2014 from 1pm to 4pm.
I need three radio volunteers to go to the following location to pass message from the Lee County EMA to
the following served agencies:
1. AU Medical Clinic
2. AU Public Safety
3. Loachapoka Volunteer Fire on Highway 14 in Loachapoka, just 5 miles west of Shug Jordan Parkway/Hwy 14 bridge.
We really need the assistance of the AU ARC here on campus. Please let me know if you can help out for about three hours.
I can brief the volunteers on this very easy assignment. I appreciate any assistance AUARC can provide.
Respectfully,
Mike

A) I was up all night reviewing for a test today, so I won't be making the review.
B) I may be interested in going up to the Faire, depending on how classes go this week, let me know how plans turn out.

Just a reminder that tonight at 19:00 we'll be meeting up in the library with anyone who wants to review for their technician exam. Go to the first floor and look for us in the lobby by the side door (in front of the checkout desk). We'll be checking out a study room and reviewing/answering questions.
Also, there will not be a regular meeting tomorrow night. However, the Atlanta Maker Faire is this weekend, so hopefully we'll see you there! If you're interested in carpooling, let us know.
