Media and Public Relations Manager at ARRL, Allen Pitts (W1AGP), passes
along that Bryan Falls, KD4KZT, of Birmingham has sucessfullly passed
the PR 101 course.  Congratutions to Bryan in stepping up and becoming
a member of the PIO group in the Alabama Section. I look forward to his
contribution to our hobby and the Section.

Also I should mention we need more dedicated PIOs in the Section. 
Every club, organization, etc. should have a dedicated PIO to insure
what we do as communicators gets to the media. It is our job to
highligt our service and hobby in the media.  We need to be proactive
in getting information out and not waiting for the meda to come to us.
We need to report it before it becomes "history".

please give the Section Plublic Information Coordinator a call.  Ed
