Subject: seeking help on E-day
Dear students,
E-day (“Engineer’s Day”) is on Friday, February 27th, from 8:00 – 1:00. This event is one way we recruit students into our program. Many high school students and their parents show up to see what our engineering programs have to offer. They come from all over, but mostly from Alabama, Georgia and northwest Florida. Our own students are very good at promoting our department’s programs. We will have displays set up in the student center and we will have tours of Broun Hall. So….
…we need volunteers! Please take a look at your schedules and see if you have any time to offer us on E-day. In most cases, the faculty are understanding of missed class time for this event.
Please reply to me and to our IEEE President, Mr. Forest Waldo, the following information:
Your availability on E-day
What you would most like to do (whatever, lead tours in Broun, oversee displays in the union building, help with specific projects).
Thanks very much!
-Dr. Stu Wentworth
