Just a reminder that we'll be presenting in the ELEC 3030 lab lecture today at 14:00 in Broun 125. There will be a slideshow and a few projects displayed in a show-and-tell type atmosphere. If you have a Hawaiian shirt handy, feel free to wear it!

Also, don't forget that this Thursday at 18:00, John Klingelhoeffer (WB4LNM) is presenting on AMSAT in Broun 235. This is sure to be an informative presentation on amateur radio satellites!

In other news, World Amateur Radio Day is this Saturday! This is a great (busy) day to get on the air, as there will be quite a few special event stations running. More info on the background of the event can be found here: http://www.arrl.org/news/view/world-amateur-radio-day-is-april-18.

Then, this Sunday is the SSB Rookie Roundup! If you've been licensed for less than three years, you're eligible to compete in the contest (though non-rookies are also encouraged to get on the air and make contacts, too). The contest lasts only a few hours, from 13:00 CDT to 18:59 CDT. The full rules can be found here: http://www.arrl.org/rookie-roundup.

Lots of stuff going on, right? Good thing we have a Google calendar<https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=czdhYmM3ZHB1aWVndTN1Z2FndDYzOXZqNGtAZ3JvdXAuY2FsZW5kYXIuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbQ>!

73,
SueAnne (KK4UWV)
AUARC Vice President
