Kyle;

You recently wrote: "We are still discussing the possibility of making our iGate station a full digipeater, but there are still some concerns. At least the K4RY iGate is now forwarding packets to the Alabama iGate server (third.aprs.net, I believe)!

As far as a 'digipeater' goes, I am pretty sure we could enable that separately from the iGate software. That is typically a functionality that can be provided by the hardware TNC irrespective of what else is hooked up to it. I know I've done this with a TNC and radio without other hardware. I also know digipeating is currently disabled in the TNC configuration. The Club would need to review the APRS WIDE N-N paradigm to see what settings are appropriate for a station with not so great coverage.

I think what you meant to say is that the Club may consider the remote data forwarding function of the iGate software if it is deemed useful and can be enabled in a manner consistent with Part 97 regulations.
