SEC AMATEUR RADIO CLUBS SPECIAL EVENT



We  should have 8 of the SEC schools represented during the special
event.  The event will be listed in the next issue of QST and is on
the ARRL  Special Event Station website.

The time for the special event shall be  Saturday December 4th from
1400 UTC to 1900 UTC.  Clubs may work the  special event any time that
day until kickoff, which is 4:00 P.M. unless  there is a time change
for TV reasons.  Each club should attempt to have  an operator (s) on
the air during this time period and should use your club  call / SEC as
indicated below with the University of Tennessee Club.    AA4UT/SEC.

You may work any frequencies but we please work around 14.250  and
7.250 as advertised in QST and on the ARRL website.

Please keep  special logs for the event.  I have included a suggested
script for the  operators.  Please be prepared to send your club QSL
card or any special  event QSL card to any contact requesting them and
sending a self address  stamp envelope with a QSL card.  Also offer a
certificate to the  contacts and refer them to the QRZ.com and W1BEW
for information on the  certificate.  No postage or envelope will be
needed, just a second QSL  card to the address on QRZ.
