class=Apple-style-span>SEC AMATEUR RADIO CLUBS SPECIAL EVENT<BR><BR><BR><BR>We
should have 8 of the SEC schools represented during the special<BR>event.
The event will be listed in the next issue of QST and is on<BR>the ARRL
Special Event Station website.<BR><BR>The time for the special event shall be
Saturday December 4th from<BR>1400 UTC to 1900 UTC. Clubs may work the
special event any time that<BR>day until kickoff, which is 4:00 P.M. unless
there is a time change<BR>for TV reasons. Each club should attempt to have
an operator (s) on<BR>the air during this time period and should use your club
call / SEC as<BR>indicated below with the University of Tennessee Club.
AA4UT/SEC.<BR><BR>You may work any frequencies but we please work around 14.250
and<BR>7.250 as advertised in QST and on the ARRL website.<BR><BR>Please keep
special logs for the event. I have included a suggested<BR>script for the
operators. Please be prepared to send your club QSL<BR>card or any special
event QSL card to any contact requesting them and<BR>sending a self address
stamp envelope with a QSL card. Also offer a<BR>certificate to the
contacts and refer them to the QRZ.com and W1BEW<BR>for information on the
certificate. No postage or envelope will be<BR>needed, just a second QSL
card to the address on QRZ.<BR><BR>Good luck on the special event.<BR><BR>73’s
