The Hurricane Watch Net was activated this morning due to upgrade of TS Irene to hurricane.

If you are in the AUARC 'shack', the frequency to listen to is 14.325 MHz, upper sideband.

If hands-on listening isn't possible at the moment, you can use the internet to listen remotely.

You may hear static *most* of the time, but there are stations on from time to time.

Activity will increase as the hurricane comes closer to the US later in the week.

There are already stations in the Carribean reporting in conditions from the storm.

WX4NHC is the net control station at the National Hurricane Center near Miami.
