[K4RY] Physical security in the AUARC Club area

A message came out to all EE undergrads a few days ago that I'd like to rebroadcast here because not all members are EE's.


There has (again) been a report of a thief working the upper floors of Broun Hall under the guise of being a 'book buyer'.  These individuals, and there may be more than one of them, apparently make off with book bags, lap tops, and whatever else is easily pilfered.  I understand this is not the first semester that this has happened, and the modus operendi is said to be the same each time.    


Although the Club shack in 411 is not open a lot of the time, please make sure that the door is locked if the shack is in use but temporarily has no one in it.  If you see anyone who appears to be in a search mode like this, please report it to the Broun Hall front office and maybe get a picture of him / her on your mobile phone if possible.  


Hog tying him / her with nylon ty-raps as handcuffs is up to you.   : )   Just be careful.
