Along a similar line, my recent conversations with industry folks and colleagues at other CS departments are indicating that “vibe coding” is having a negative impact on availability of entry level jobs for CS graduates. Moreover, companies are increasingly looking for employees who are skilled at using AI to increase their productivity. So please think about how you can incorporate AI into your courses and teach your students to use it to learn and do better in responsible ways, whether it is in programming assignments or in other ways,  so that our students are knowledgeable about using AI to improve their work. Doing this now will also help set us apart from CS departments that are behind the curve!
