Possibly, but I wouldn't recommend it.  To use DMP, you would have to
have the same disks on both controllers.  It's possible for a controller
to fail in a way that jams the bus, so you'd still lose access from the
remaining controller.

If you have a D1000, I'd prefer to split the disks, attach a controller
to each side, and mirror the disks instead.  The possibility of a disk
failure is higher than a controller failure (I'm assuming), so you'd
still want to have some sort of mirroring anyway.
