On Solaris, put the following in /etc/system ( without the # of course )
# ndd -set /dev/qfe instance 0
# ndd -set /dev/qfe adv_autoneg_cap 1
# ndd -set /dev/qfe adv_10hdx_cap 1
# ndd -set /dev/qfe adv_10fdx_cap 1
# ndd -set /dev/qfe adv_100hdx_cap 1
# ndd -set /dev/qfe adv_100fdx_cap 1
This turns on autonegotiation and supports all speeds. If you are using a
hub, set the above The hub tends to use its default which is 10 mbits and
hence the following error message will be displayed if set to 100 full
duplex or other than 10mbits:
SUNW,qfe0: Transciever speed set incorrectly.
WARNING: SUNW,qfe0: Unable to reset transciever.
If no hub is being used, then you can set the appropriate speed on your
port.

Hi All,
=20
Does anybody have any info on whether VxVM, VxFS, VCS is supported for =
the Sun Storage Array - 3510?
We are in the process of purchasing these arrays. Just wanted to make =
sure we would not run into any issues
with Veritas :-) I do not see any reason why there would be any issues. =
But any information you could give me
would be greatly appreciated.
=20
Thanks.

Subject: [Veritas-ha] MultiNICA and ndd settings
Hi
We have the following MultiNICA resource set up:
host1 qfe1 xxx.xxx.xxx.1
qfe5 xxx.xxx.xxx.1
host2 qfe1 xxx.xxx.xxx.2
qfe5 xxx.xxx.xxx.2
Problem is that on failover to the backup interface, it is not set to the
correct speed of 100 Mbit fd. Switch and NIC won't autonegotiate up as auto
negotiation is disabled in the environment. Is there a way to set/force this
anywhere?
Thanks
