Subject: [Veritas-ha] How to? Want to not start a resource if another is
running on a node
I have a two node cluster with two service groups. At the top of these
service groups are two resources that cannot run together on the same node.
Between these two resources, there is one that I would prefer over the other
if the service groups are running on the same node. I need to have a way to
tell VCS to do this (to disable or offline the other, conflicting resource)
in a generic way, for a few failover situations. How should I approach
this?
BTW, the conflicting resources are two SMTP engines, Microsoft IIS SMTP and
Mailsweeper SMTP. If I had another way to ensure that Mailsweeper would
"win" in conflict, there would be no problem, but Microsoft just won't have
it...
TIA,
Fred
