Hi NBU Gurus,
Yesterday i've justed installed SNC in one of my solaris8 server and tried configuring flashbackup as this server has millions of files.
I've did a some test on the local HDD (eg /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2) and the backup went through wiith no problem.
I'm using nbu_snap as it snapshot method and also configured a cache parition for it.
However, went i wana do a actual flashbackup of the production SAN disk with vxFS (eg /dev/vx/rdsk/testdg/vol11), when i configure the backup policy, and error pops up saying snapshot could not be created using nbu_snap / vxFS_snap / vxvm. Most of the snapshot methods hit the same problem. When i change the filelist to the actual raw parition of the diskgroup such as /dev/rdsk/c7t500xxxxxxxxxxxs2) the backup policy is able to go thru but the backup failed with status 69.
Is there anyone who had configure flashbackup on SAN disk before, can advise which portion that i missed out? I'm using SUN Storage 99xx series using HITACHI HDD.
Thanks
