In the end, it turned out to be a problem with ports. The right
combination can lock you and your apps out. This is something I've
never completely gotten my head around. Especially when firewalls are
involved.
I called back on Sat. and requested an escalation and a re-queue.
Took a little while, but got it going.
Next time, I'm making a copy of my bp.conf file before I fiddle.
