[Veritas-bu] not running bpstart_notify.Policy and bpendnotif y.Policy for each directory in the policy

Are you using multiplexing and do you have it configured so each directory
starts a separate backup job?

If so, unfortunately, this is how it works.  Many have scripted ways around
this, and some probably work better than others, and I've also heard of
someone having the netbackup scheduler launch a job that backs up a single
file and have that bpstart do what needs to be done before the backups and
then manually launch the multiplexed backups in a different Policy at the
end of that guys script (in place of the bpstart at the beginning of the
mpx'd backups).

Hello,

I have noticed something that netbackup 4.5 runs the start and stop
notify scripts for each directory you put in the policy.

Is there a way to override this?

Just run the start one once and after everything is finished run the end
one.
