This fix was included in a June patch release. I believe VERITAS is just
re-releasing this info.

For all Clients (recommended):

<http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/237386.htm>

For all other platforms, goto <http://support.veritas.com/>
http://support.veritas.com/ then choose "Patches and Updates" and the
appropriate product. For a filtered patch list, click on the "Patch" filter.
Use your browser to search for FILE NAMES (not descriptions) that include
the phrase 'NB_341_1'

Hope this helps!
Steve

We do this. We have direct connections to many subnets.
Sounds like this patch may be for us.

One thing to note is that this patch is fixing a problem specific to having
multiple storage units on the same media server where each storage unit uses

a different network interface / hostname. I am sure that there may be
people doing something similar to this, but I have not run into a
configuration like this.

I checked and I also didn't find the patch on the web site.

Just received TechNote #239291 that has the opening line "VERITAS has
recently discovered a potential data threatening issue with VERITAS
NetBackup DataCenter".

Oh great there goes my day.

They say there is a patch available but when I went to their site all I
could find was a Oct 1st patch for GNUtar and nothing more recent.

Anyone found what / where the patch is?

Thanks
