Our WinNT 4 slave (sp6a) backs up our Exchange server (nt4 sp6a) with about
60 gig on it (just under 3 hours with 100 mbit/FD ethernet). Master is
Solaris. We are at 3.2 with 443 patches all around. Was fairly easy install.
Restores go great WinNT to WinNT but we do get "socket write failures" going
from NT slave to Netware 4.11 clients (sp8a) when doing multi-gigabyte
restores. Same tapes from a Solaris slave did 30 gig in 9 hours with no
errors on the first try.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Backing up NT
Of the people on this list backing up NT from either a
unix master or an nt master, whats the largest single
file system you are attempting to backup (on NT)????
what's your master server os?
NBU Version and Patches?
What's the client OS & SP?
What challenges did you have to overcome to acheive
this task?
What were the lessons learned during the process?
I have a client with what I think is a very large fs on
NT...so I'm very curious to query the list.
TIA
