Is it just me, or has the Sun webpages slipped through the ground?
I cannot locate technical whitepapers of A3500 (esp the FC_AL implemnetation),
the Fast write cache stuff (is it just a befeed up presto?),
also I can't find any decent info on the PCI host based RAID-card for
the E450's, no whitepaper on the Ultra 80 workstation..
(no microprocessor announcement during the whole 1999)
What the F*&K is WRONG @ SUN?
I'm looking into a 'measly' 1TB investment in the near future, but
I cannot locate any relevant info at all from Sun's webpages or sunsolve.
The best I could dig up was a crappy performance tuning guide for A3000!
F. ex can the fast write cache be used with regular FC-AL disks?
(its only breifly mentioned along with the A5X00 stuff..)
This kind of non-information about major product really puts me off,
anyone has a good source of info for OEM or 3:rd party solutions that
work well in a FC_AL/Sun (E3500) environment??
Is it just me? Or is there a magic way of getting all relevant information?
It's really a shame that www.sun.com etc. doesn't contain the information
I regard neccesary. Maybe I'll have to nag at my Sun representative??
