Boot failure -- no VTOC, please help!!!!!

I am wondering if any of you guys can help me.
I am trying to install and run Solaris 2.6 on Intel platform (NEC
PII300/4.3GBHD NT/95 and 800MB partition allocated for Solaris).
Here is the problem: Installation of a system went without a glitch. But
when it came to booting a system gave me a message saying:

        DISK: IDE(ATA) QUANTUM FIREBALL ST4.3A

        /isa/ata@1,1f 0/cmdr@ 0,0:a:

        Error message from mount:

        Can't open -- No VTOC

I don't know what is wrong with it? Installation went fine... It again
prompts me to reinstall, but alas, again the result is the same...!

                               Can anyone of you P-L-E-A-S-E HELP!!
