Only use sun supplied drives. Only they have the necessary firmware to
deal properly with storage arrays. Doing otherwise may void warranty,
and will most definitely preclude you from getting any kind of support.
It's not worth the risk. After your warranty is expired, you can do
whatever you want, but I wouldn't recommend it.
