interesting scenario

I've got two hosts and two arrays. They are cross connected.
Host1 sees everything as copacetic. Host2 continually reports:
soc0: port 1: Fibre Channel is OFFLINE
soc0: port 1: Fibre Channel is ONLINE

about every 2 seconds or so.

When I do a boot -r I get this:
NOTICE: pln1: Old SSA firmware has been detected (Ver:) - Please upgrade

Which is nonsense because both arrays are definitely at
firmware rev 3.12. Both systems have identical patches.

I'm putting my money on the 2nd fiber optic module plugged into
the SBUS card on host2. Any dissenting opinion?
