Firmware and Track Following Errors

I've just been told by a SUN engineer that some rev's of the segate 
2.1Gb SSA100 Disk had firmware problems that resulted in track 
following errors. Can anyone shine any more light on this, 
particularly as to what firmware rev's have the problem

PS HAs anyone got an opinion ( negative or positive) as to wether I 
should move to firmware rev 3.11 from rev 3.9 ?
