2.11 to 2.3 Upgrade

This is a plea for help ...

Upgraded 2.11 to 2.3 on my first E5000 no problem, on my second machine I 
forgot to run the upgrade_start script and now Veritas is not working for 
me, I ran it after the pkgs were added, realized my mistake and logged my 
software call

Sun told me to pkgrm then pkgadd the 2.3 packages then run vxinstall, now if 
I leave all the disks alone, the program exits, If I try and encapsulate 
them it says that the disk is blank and would have installed my array as new 
disks losing my data, I chose to quit this operation.

As far as I know the data on my array is good, how do I get my configuration 
information back into Veritas.

I have a complete backup of everything so If I need to restore particular 
config files I can or worst case everything...

what are my options
