Muztahid and Nabeel,

Please put these images together to share with NASA. Let’s plan to have it by COB this Friday.

Thanks,

NS

Hi Nima,

If possible – could we obtain some of the images? I don’t know best way to transfer these or if large files. We only need a few images from each sample I would suspect. I was mentioning to Will and put it out to you as well – that some general documentation or papers on AM defects and observations (like CT) could make a great document as well for AM knowledge. Having these comparisons of alloys across multiple processes will help our understanding.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Please see the attached file with the list of samples that we have done X-ray CT on.

Best regards,

Nima

Hi Paul,

We plan to scan one sample of each material/process. I will check with students to see if we have scanned any DED samples so far and let you know shortly.

Thanks,

Nima

Hi Nima,

I know that you’ve been running CT scans of most samples. Have you also done this for DED samples? We would be interested to get our hands on this data to make some general comparisons between L-PBF and DED per our discussion today.

Paul
