some of the events, but I just found out within the past day or so for some of them. If you can't make it to any of the events, consider turning your radio to one of the repeaters so that the kids can talk to you briefly on-air.

<span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black">This coming Monday, the 19th, is Auburn Junior High's Engineering Day (E-Day). Electrical Engineering will, of course, have a table, and we've been asked
to help out with talking to students. Radio club will have a radio set up at the table, along with IEEE and some robots. The E-Day will last from 8:00 until 15:00, so drop by whenever you get the chance and stay however long is convenient for you.

about Fall Severe Weather Awareness and amateur radio's roll in emergencies (ARES, etc.). Again, stop by if you have the chance to help man the table. That afternoon, there will also be a storm spotter class in the Public Safety Building on Magnolia in the
Village; it's free to attend and is put on by the Birmingham Office of the National Weather Service. If you're interested in getting involved with ARES, this is good info to know.

for modern equipment. Similar to last year, the modern table will have the HF rig for kids to talk on, a display about circuits using a Morse keyer, and maybe an oscilloscope of another piece of equipment. The setup for Jr. MSD is supposed to be sort of
open-house like, with stations where kids can stop, do a quick experiment/experience like use the radio or spell their name in Morse, get a sticker, and move on to the next bench. If you're interested in helping out, let me know!
