<font color='black' size='5' face='Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif'>Hi SueAnne;
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Yes, it is unfortunately on Easter afternoon. A poor choice and I think an unusual one, but since Easter moves around and the contest is always the third Sunday, I guess this year is just a collision. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I was doing the time conversion when your message came in. I figure it is from 1 PM until 7 PM. There are a couple of things that make this an interesting contest:</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>- It is SSB voice only in the spring, so it is fast and fun</div>
<div>- It allows multiple operators for one station, which allows rest periods</div>
<div>- See rule 6.6; it means that you can use the highest license privileges of the senior person in the station (rookie or not). </div>
<div>- Given that the contest is during daylight hours - sunset is 15 minutes after the contest concludes, the K4RY station will be a perfect place to operate since 75/80 meters will not be needed. </div>
<div>- Power is limited to 100 watts, so no advantage for big stations.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>If the Club is interested, we ought to set up a practice session to 'teach' contesting, 'cause it is a learned skill. Perhaps even work one of the contests informally between now and then.</div>
