The American Council of Engineering Companies of Alabama, or ACEC, is sponsoring the ACEC/Alabama Richard A. Groenendyke Scholarship Award Competition for students majoring in engineering who will be juniors, seniors and graduate students in fall 2011. Two scholarships in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to qualifying applicants. Winners at the state level will be eligible to participate in the national competition for a chance to win additional scholarships. Applications can be downloaded at this&nbsp;<a href="http://www.aceca.org/">link</a>. All applications and materials must be received by the ACEC Alabama office on or before Friday, Jan. 28. Students with questions should go to this<a href="http://www.aceca.org/">link</a>&nbsp;or contact the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering for additional information.&nbsp;</span>
