Dr. J-M Wersinger, KI4YAU, in the COSAM Physics Department and leader of the "AubieSat-1" CubeSat development program is in search of a student or students who would like to be involved with the operation of the satellite ground station, KI4NQO, in Allison Labs. This is an effort that has been supported very capably the past several years by AUARC's own Byron, KI4OVP. Byron has set up this station for support of amateur satellite service stations on the 146 and 436 MHz bands.

If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please give Dr. Wersinger a call, drop him an email note on the campus email system, or visit him at his office in Allison Hall, second floor. Operation of the station while transmitting is, of course, limited to someone with a valid and current FCC amateur radio service license. I'm sure that Byron can enlighten you on what is needed to continue to upgrade and operate the station.
