You can definitely do both! Usually when someone passes general, we encourage them to take extra, at least to see the test and what it's like.

I think I would like to test on Nov. 30. Do you think I can test for both General and Extra, or is it easier personnel-wise to just do General?

Happy Thanksgiving Break!

We'll have the next licensing exam the Monday we get back from break, November 30th, at 18:00 in Broun 235. Please please please RSVP if you plan on testing, so we can get a head count estimation. Bring $15, a photo ID, and a pencil.

The last radio club meeting of the year will be December 1st at 18:00 in Broun 235.

A few amendments were proposed at the previous meeting, so we'll hold a vote on those at the December meeting. They were as follows:

  * State in constitution that elections are in spring semester (they are already held then, it just isn't in writing yet)

  * Add asset dissolution policy: agreement among voting members.

  * Added duties of president: getting/maintaining ARRL club affiliation so long as at least one AUARC member is an ARRL member and maintaining repeater registration paperwork.

  * Remove requirement to have rep at all SGA meetings; should be just the yearly presidents' meeting. This is an unclear wording in the constitution.
  * If officer position is unfilled, duties absorbed by other officers. Again, we've been doing this, but it wasn't officially in writing.

Lastly, it's time to pick when we'll meet next semester! Vote in the Google poll here (https://goo.gl/086VZA) for days and times that work best for you. The time with the most votes is when we'll meet. Polling ends Sunday, December 13th.

73,

SueAnne (KK4UWV/AE)

AUARC Vice President
