Google Maps reports the Gadsden event this weekend being about 2.5 hours drive from Auburn, for those of you who might be interested in participating. 


Note also that the Montgomery event has VE testing for those who wish to upgrade.

The Gadsden ARC will hold its annual Hamfest at the Etowah Fair
Grounds, Exit 183 on I-59, Gadsden, AL.  8 AM to 2 PM.  Free Admission,
free tables, free Coffee and Donuts. More information can be found at
www.garc.org. This is a great little hamfest and I hope to see many of
you there.

October 13, 2012
The Helena (AL) Hamfest will be held Saturday, October 13th from 9 AM
to 1 PM at the Helena Amphitheater.  The address is 4151 Helena Rd. 
Admission is $2.00 per licensed ham.  VE testing, electrical outlets,
concessions/restrooms and free parking will be provided.  This location
is a "tailgater's delite"!  Make your plans now to attend.  More

November 10, 2012
The Montgomery Hamfest sponsored by the Montgomery ARC will be held
November 10th at a NEW location.  The address is Alcazar Shrine Temple,
555 Eastern Blvd, Montgomery, AL  36117.  Doors open at 9 AM with VE
testing starting at 8 AM.  Forums, door prizes, inside tables, huge
bone yard, concessions, etc. will be provided.  Make your plans to
attend this one as well.  More information is available at
www.w4ap.org.

Please attend these hamfest if you can.  It is your support of these
events that make them availble for our enjoyment year after year.  And
